Anton Borderieux
Trumpet
Anton Borderieux, 26, born in Lüneburg, studied classical trumpet in Hanover, Hamburg and Basel. His teachers include Prof. Jeroen Berwaerts, Prof. Matthias Höfs and Prof. Klaus Schuhwerk. He supplemented his classical training with jazz studies under Prof. Mathieu Michel at the Basel Jazz School. He has been a member of the Orchestra Academy of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra since the 2018/19 season. In addition to his work with Salaputia Brass, he is a member of the brass ensemble QuintettAvanti and the chamber orchestra ensemble reflektor, with which he performs throughout Germany. He is a national prizewinner in the Jugend Musiziert competition and was a finalist in the 2009 International Yamaha Trumpet Contest.

Double bass
Leonard Geiersbach, born in Hiddenhausen in East Westphalia in 1996, received his first double bass lessons at the age of six at the Herford Music School. He then took private lessons from Theophile Bonhert. He gained orchestral experience in the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, the Mannheim Philharmonic, the Westphalian Chamber Philharmonic in Gütersloh, the Detmold Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Detmold State Theatre. Since October 2016 he has been studying for a bachelor’s degree with Stanislav Anischenko at the Detmold Academy of Music. He also joined the Orchestra Academy of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra starting with the 2019/20 season.
