Sat, Mar. 29, 2025, 3.30 pm - 3.30 pm | Meeting Point: Stage Door
Did you know that Handel had to fight a duel at the Gänsemarkt just before the world premiere of his first opera “Almira” in Hamburg or that Gustav Mahler was escorted back home by the police after having conducted a show at the Opera? You can hear these and other interesting anecdotes about the past and the present of the house at Dammtorstraße during a public guided tour. Discover where rehearsals are held, take a look at our tailoring and mask workshop and find out where the props are stored every evening after the show. On top of that you can enter the stage and enjoy the unique view of the auditorium which usually only our singers and dancers experience.
Meeting point: Stage entrance (Kleine Theaterstraße)
The number of participants is limited. Booking in advance is required. Please buy your ticket beforehand at our ticket service (Große Theaterstraße 25, Tel: +49(0)40 / 35 68 68) or book online.
