On June 11, the jubilee Ballet Days started with John Neumeier's ballet "Romeo and Juliet". More than 200 former Hamburg Ballet dancers traveled from all over the world for a preview performance on June 9. On June 10, John Neumeier and all the alumni were invited to a Senate reception in Hamburg City Hall by the Mayor of Hamburg, Dr. Peter Tschentscher.
